Did you know, farm fresh eggs serve as the yoke behind the idea of French House Farm! Here is the truth of it…
The idea was hatched, because of a desire to have eggs that were guaranteed to be disease free. This notion was scrambled with all kinds of thoughts that these eggs had to come from varieties of beautiful chickens that provided a variety of beautiful eggs, of course. And, so, we started with 57! This was a coincidence, Heinz was not involved and had nothing to do with it.
That was five years ago. We are proud to say those same chickens are still producing the eggs we sell today. This is a contradiction to what most people believe about a chicken’s ability to bear eggs, but, nonetheless, it is still true. The original flock number has changed since we have sold a few, added some new and hatched a chick or two. However, the quality has not changed and they are just as delicious, whether you like them boiled, over-easy, poached or sunnyside.
There is just nothing quite like a farm fresh egg and we are lucky to get two dozen a day, or so, to enjoy and offer. Check out our blog article, Chickens 101, to learn what is needed to raise your own chickens and get the quality only fresh eggs can bring to your table!
